Find a Dental Care Provider

Cornell offers optional dental insurance to eligible students and their dependents. Information about finding participating providers and accessing dental care varies by campus.
 

Ithaca, Cornell Tech, and Geneva Students


The Cornell Student Dental Plan is provided through MetLife.

To find a participating dentist:

  1. Visit MetLife's Find a Dentist tool.
  2. Select the PDP Plus network.
  3. Search by location, dentist name, or specialty.
  4. Contact the dental office before scheduling to confirm that they participate in the MetLife PDP Plus network and accept Cornell’s Student Dental Plan.
     

Weill Cornell Medicine Students


The Weill Cornell Medicine student dental plan is provided through Delta Dental.

Dental coverage is provided through Delta Dental. Depending on the plan you enrolled in, use one of the following provider networks:

  • DeltaCare USA (DHMO)
  • Delta Dental PPO Plus Premier (PPO)

To find a participating dentist:

  1. Visit Delta Dental's Find a Dentist tool.
  2. Select the network that matches your dental plan.
  3. Search by location, dentist name, or specialty.
  4. Contact the dental office before scheduling to confirm that they participate in your Delta Dental network and accept your dental plan.


Before Your Appointment


Before receiving care, ask the dental office to confirm:

  • The provider participates in your dental plan’s network.
  • The services you need are covered.
  • Any deductible, copay, coinsurance, or other out-of-pocket costs that may apply.
