Dental Enrollment, Coverage & Costs
Cornell's student Dental Plan is offered through MetLife and enrollment is processed by Member Benefits.

Eligibility & Enrollment
All students registered in the Ithaca, Tech, or Geneva campuses, as well as their dependents, are eligible to enroll in the plan during the open enrollment period. You may enroll in the dental plan regardless of your SHP enrollment status.
Students at Weill Cornell Medicine have access to a different plan.
2026 – 2027 Plan Year Coverage and Open Enrollment Dates
- Fall students, and their dependents, may enroll between 6/1/26 - 8/31/26, with coverage active 7/1/26 - 6/30/27.
- New students beginning in the spring semester, and their dependents, may enroll between 1/1/27 through 1/31/27, with coverage active 1/1/27 – 6/30/27.
2026 – 2027 Plan Year Coverage Rates
Payments are collected by Member Benefits and cannot be bursar billed. There is a $20 processing fee in addition to the premium. All payments are final and MetLife and Member Benefits do not provide refunds if you cancel your policy.
You will be billed for the full cost of the coverage period with your approved application.
