2021 - 2022 Rates & Dates

2021-2022 Academic Year SHP Coverage

Plan Year Begins: August 1st, 2021
Plan Year Ends: June 30th, 2022

The 2021-2022 plan year is 11 months long. Beginning in the 2022-2023 academic year, the plan will run from July 1st through June 30th. This was changed to better align with Cornell’s academic and billing schedule. The total SHP premium has been adjusted to reflect the current plan year’s length—students are only paying 11 months’ worth of premiums if enrolled for the full plan year.

Dependent applications must be submitted separately every year. For more information see dependent enrollment.

Student Coverage Rates

SHP premiums are billed on a semester basis. The SHP premium for August 1, 2021 - January 31, 2022, is billed in July and shows on your August bursar bill. For continuing students in the spring, the spring premium for February 1 - June 30, 2022, is billed in January and shows on your February bursar bill. New spring entrants will be billed and charged in January for coverage beginning January 1, 2022.
