Cornell Student Health Benefits strives to educate and empower students to take charge of their health care.

We ensure Cornell students have health insurance that promotes personal and financial well-being and supports their pursuit of Cornell’s mission.

As members of the Cornell Community, we support Cornell’s vision, mission, and core values.

Additionally, in order to advance our mission, we have also adopted the following core Cornell Student Health Benefits values:

Accessibility

To guarantee all students can access services regardless of financial status or study location.

Coverage

To ensure all students have health insurance that covers a wide range of services: mental health, prescriptions, preventative care, preexisting conditions, and chronic condition management throughout their academic careers.
To offer supplemental dental and vision coverage.

Compliance

To adhere to applicable university, state, and federal rules and regulations.
To protect private and personal health information.
To ensure we do not refuse to issue insurance based on any gender (including pregnancy), sex, race, color, ethnic or national origin, age, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, military or veteran status, disability, ex-offender status, and/or individual genetic information.

Engagement

To promote healthcare literacy.
To facilitate student involvement in health insurance coverage recommendations through the Student Health Benefits Advisory Committee.
