Cornell’s student Vision Plan is offered through MetLife. The plan includes access to benefits at a national network available at thousands of locations throughout the United States.

Eligibility & Enrollment
All students registered to the Ithaca, Tech, or Geneva campuses, as well as their dependents, are eligible to enroll in the plan during the open enrollment period. You may enroll in the vision plan regardless of your SHP enrollment status.
Students at Weill Cornell Medicine have access to a different plan.
2025 – 2026 Plan Year Coverage and Open Enrollment Dates
- Returning students, and their dependents, may enroll 6/15/25 - 8/31/25, with coverage active 7/1/2025 - 6/30/26.
- New Fall students, and their dependents, may enroll 7/1/25 - 8/31/25, with coverage active 8/1/25 - 6/30/26.
- New Spring students, and their dependents, may enroll 1/1/26 - 1/31/26, with coverage active 1/1/26 - 6/30/26.
2025 – 2026 Plan Year Rates
Payments are collected by Member Benefits and cannot be bursar billed. There is a $20 processing fee in addition to the premium. All payments are final and MetLife and Member Benefits do not provide refunds if you cancel your policy.
