Continuation of Coverage Options

Sometimes you need your insurance to cover you a few months longer while you are moving on to the next thing.

If you are currently enrolled in SHP and going on a university approved leave of absence, graduating, or leaving the university, you may be eligible for a continuation of SHP coverage. Your eligibility for a continuation of SHP coverage depends on the effective date of your status change.

What's a continuation of coverage?

This is a one-time, three-month extension of your current SHP insurance benefits that is only eligible to students who are currently on SHP but have just left the university. All of the copays, co-insurances, and benefits remain the same as when you were an active student, but only for 90-days.

• Recent Graduates
• Cancel/Withdrawn Students
• Qualified Dependents already on SHP
