Cornell offers two comprehensive health plans developed specifically for Cornell students:
- Student Health Plan (SHP)
The Student Health Plan (SHP) is a platinum-level plan that excellent coverage to Cornell students (and their dependents) on Ithaca's campus, and anywhere else you might live, study, or travel. The plan was developed with oversight from students on Cornell's Student Health Benefits Advisory Committee (formerly the Student Insurance Advisory Committee).
Each year, all academic-year students are automatically enrolled in SHP. Domestic students with alternate insurance that meets Cornell's requirements may apply to waive their enrollment.
